USA Independence 5K/15K 2021 (LIRun/Hike)

We open this event on Memorial Day to remember all U.S. Service who died in military service. Our clubs home base is Veterans Memorial Park in Calverton, across from the Calverton National Cemetery where we remember all those who have served. You can run or walk with us on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Path or you can run, walk or hike a 5K or 15K anywhere starting Memorial Day. We close the event on Independence Day to celebrate the passage of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.
 
We have managed several "Firecracker Events" in the past. Next to Thanksgiving, Independence Day events are the largest attended event day of the year. Although we have had some success with opening up running and hiking events, we are not ready for a big live event. If any small groups wish to join us, we will meet with them live upon request. If any groups would like to join us virtually, we will set that up for you. 

However, with Virtual Events we can open up this and other events to our national followers and participants. Run walk and hike with us and give us a chance to show off our training and event app and show off your local teams!
